Background & Training
I set up my own business as a virtual assistant http://www.katebacon.com six months after moving to Brighton, enabling me to utilise my skills as an executive assistant and enjoy living a couple of blocks from the sea. Coaching came directly out of working for a client and participating in the coach training they run.....at the end of the first day of the first module I was hooked!
I trained with Coaching Development Ltd on their ICF-accredited 20 day face-to-face training http://www.coachingdevelopment.com. I firmly believe in the development of the coach themself rather than simply coaching using a set of techniques, and am thus committed to my own ongoing personal development. I regularly have supervision for my own coaching and attend workshops whenever I can.
How does my work with VAs and aspiring VAs differ from other coaches and trainers? I continue to work in my own VA business, with a small, select group of clients. In this way I keep in touch with the industry "on the ground" which adds value to my coaching and training.
